Floating City Mosque At Kota Kinabalu Sabah
We pass by the floating city mosque on our way to the airport as we don't have much time we didn't go in for a closer look only snap the photos from outside. The Floating City Mosque is another tourist attraction at Likas Bay at Kota Kinabalu Sabah as the mosque is built man-made lagoon which surrounds it gives a serenely gorgeous and dramatic look to the mosque on a full moon night.
The mosque boasts similar features to the Nabawi Mosque in Medina. This floating mosque has a prayer hall which houses three madrasahs and accommodates from 9, 000 to 12, 000 people at a time.
The city mosque is open for public visits daily except Fridays from 8am to 5pm. There are no fees charged on visitors and located about 10 to 15 minute drive from Kota Kinabalu.
