I know... I know... I hasn't update my blog this past few weeks, as I was just come back from sight seeing in KL and Malacca last week. Here is a few place I visit.

Sibu Borneo Culture Festival 2009

The Borneo Cultural Festival which is held every year in Sibu town is back again from 3 July to 11 July 2009. Normally I wouldn't stick by because the events were held later in the evening, but this time I decide to hangout around. Here is my coverage of the festival on Sunday 5 July 2009.


I arrive at the Wisma Sanyan around 2pm, since there is nothing to see at that time I decide to head to King Cinema to see The Transformer "Revenge Of The Fallen" again for the second time to kill time. At that time they are rehearsing for the night event, you know The Prime Minster is coming so everything has to be prefect.


Here is the Chinese section food place, a lot of yummy food to try.

Inside got free internet access.

Sibu Art Association held an art and photography exhibition at the sheltered car park area.

The Five-Ram Sculpture

The Five-Ram Sculpture is one of the most famous structures in Guangzhou. It has become the emblem of Guangzhou City.


Legend has it that more than 2,000 years ago, Guangzhou was a barren land with people who despite hard work were suffering from famine. One day five immortals in five-color garments came riding on five rams, playing their legendary music.


The rams held sheaves of rice in their mouths. The immortals left the sheaves of rice for the Guangzhou people, gave blessings to the city and left. The rams turned into stone and the city of Guangzhou became a rich and populous place. Guangzhou got the name of the City of Rams and the City of Ears.
