Dongpo's Pork Meat At HangZhou China
While we at HangZhou China I got to eat the famous Dong Po Pork meat, the meat is consist of 50% fat and 50% meat, which is quite tasty...yummmy....
Legend said the meat is created by the poet Su Dongpo of the Northern Song Dynasty. Dongpo Pork is made of stewing pork.
It is very delicious with oily but not greasy taste and the fragrance of wine.
There is also a poem about the dongpo meat which goes like this
"豬肉頌"
"黃州好豬肉,價賤如泥土。
貴人不肯吃,貧人不解煮。
慢著火,少著水,火候足時他自美。
the English translation, reads like this:
"Ode to Pork"
"Pork in Huangzhou is plenty
there it costs utterly lowly
The rich detest it; the poor fluff it
slow the fire, hold the water, it comes alive when the time is right"

Kuching Post Office (1931)
The Kuching Post Office is another landmark, the building was built in 1931 built in the middle of Kuching City.
The design is an imposing Neo-Classical with Corinthian columns.
The front of this building features round towers and giant pillar. The wall is decorated with intricate carvings.
I notice one Brooke emblem of a badger and the motto ‘Dum Spiro Spero” means While I live, I hope .
The building was designed by Denis Santry of Messrs Swan and Macleran, an architecture firm in Singapore
